Day 3: Playa del Carmen, Mexico
For some odd reason I got up around 4am and couldn’t sleep. So I figured I’d hit up the Internet and check emails. ..and sure enough, there was a bunch of chaos at home on the network. On the last cruise it was an e-mail server that crashed. This time, it was a tower transmitter that bombed and took a bunch of people offline. Thankfully Dan (one of my techies) got it back up and running before too long. *sigh*.The jogging track looked pretty dramatic in the quiet morning. The photo doesn’t do it justice. The glass windows at the left forms the top of the 5-story atrium.
Water looks a little nicer out at sea.
Sandra and the girls got up around 5:30 or 6 and we had coffee & hot chocolate before breakfast.
Sheryl & me, chilling out, having some breakfast as we started to pull into Mexico. It was a simple breakfast, but .. pretty cool. Just me ‘an my babe.We cruised along the Mexican shoreline for about 2 hours before we docked in Calica. |
Ice-cream for breakfast dessert. Whatever.Crazy kids.
Apparently some hurricanes in the past year had knocked out the normal ports, so we pulled into an industrial-type port and disembarked there.
